
The Rapido driving platform combined hands with the Theangana government to support cultural tourism through an initiative called “Rapido Heritage Captains”. According to this initiative, selected Rapido drivers will be trained as the ambassadors of knowledge of the inheritance, history and culture of Telangans.
The training program, designed together with the tourism department, will include key points of heritage, cultural monuments and historical stories throughout the state. Structural sessions led by experts, together with access to the inheritance of the institution, will ensure that the captains (drivers) give the riders accurate and authentic information, the release said.
“We will take an innovative step to make the state heritage more accessible and engaging for visitors and locals using micro-mobility and technology. Captain training Rapido as an ambassador not only will increase tourism experience, but also create new opportunities for skill development and improved livelihoods,” said tourism secretary Jaysh Ranjan.
The pilot phase will be launched in Hyderabad with plans for expansion to other towns of inheritance in Telangana. In order to facilitate the connections with trained captains, the passengers will present Rapido in its application “Captain of Heritage”. The platform also integrates the functions and announcements of geological placement to propose circuits and cultural monuments of the inheritance, which will strengthen the travel experience for locals and visitors.
