Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has taken on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The KKR pacifist has publicly exposed what he says is a serious administrative failure by Pakistan. According to Muzarabani’s agency, this resulted in their client being handed an unfair two-year PSL ban.
The PCB, led by chairman Mohsin Naqvi, announced Muzarabani’s ban from the Pakistan Super League (PSL). World Sports Xchange, Muzarabani’s agency, remained dormant for six weeks. They chose silence on purpose, not wanting to cause further trouble for the league.

“During the last 6 weeks we have remained publicly silent as we did not wish to create or cause any more enmity for the Pakistan Super League/Pakistan Cricket Board than they have already created for themselves,” the official statement said.
You simply cannot break a contract you never received.
“However, due to the voluminous and disgusting nature of the criticism leveled at Blessing via social media, I will no longer remain silent,” the statement continued.
Ever since he joined Kolkata Knight Riders, Muzarabani has been receiving a constant barrage of vile abuse on social media. Now they decided to talk. The agency says that it is very unpleasant to read all this from the PCB.
“The so-called ‘fans’ who fill his DMs on social media with vile hate are an absolute disgrace to humanity and are cowards,” the agency tells Pakistani trolls.
According to the agency, Islamabad United approached Muzarabani on 13 February 2026 with an option to play for the 2026 PSL season. Both sides made a verbal agreement, but it came with a clear condition.
The deal was subject to obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Zimbabwe Cricket, which itself could only be processed once a formal written agreement had arrived from the PSL. That contract never came.
Two weeks have passed. Muzarabani’s team has not received anything in writing from Islamabad United or the PCB.
On February 27, Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team came up with a concrete offer. A proper contract was signed and Muzarabani joined the IPL 2026 squad as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman. The Bangladesh pacer’s contract was canceled due to political tensions.
Blessings of Muzarabani’s Message PCB
World Sports Xchange put the PCB’s position very simply. Blessing Muzarabani was never drafted through the PSL auction. He was never given a written contract. Therefore, he had no legal obligation to the league.
Their statement is straightforward: “You simply cannot break a contract you never received.”

They also argued that even if a technical violation were presumed, a two-year ban would be grossly disproportionate compared to the punishments given to players who have actually violated actual, signed contracts in the past.
“We urge PSL to politely lift the ban and accept this situation for what it is, an administrative error at their end, nothing more. We hold no grudge against PSL/Islamabad United,” the statement concluded.
