The annual Cooperative Spice Fair, which began on Friday (April 17, 2026) in Jaipur, has attracted institutions from several states to showcase and sell their products. Faced with food adulteration, common people have shown interest in buying pure spices and other products at reasonable prices at the fair.
Minister of State for Cooperatives Gautam Kumar Dak, who inaugurated the fair at Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur, said the event would enable farmers and spice makers to fetch remunerative prices for their produce. “Trade fairs like this provide a robust platform for marketing spices and meeting consumer needs,” Mr Dak said.
