Deserving, educated and enterprising Indian women are growing by leaps and bounds and are ready to take advantage of politics, says Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu while commenting on the proposed 2026 reservation and delimitation laws for women.
In an exclusive interaction with The Hindu, Mr. Naidu said, “I am very confident that the bill will be passed. Those who oppose it will be exposed. Today, women are educated and enterprising. They are ready to take leadership. If you give them an opportunity, the quality of leadership will increase. I started promoting women leadership in 1995 and it was very successful. Even former chief Raavid and RamaAP promoted RamaAP. They encouraged educated women in politics by giving them seats in TDP, if you encourage them, they will be ready.
