The report added that the vice-chairman of BJP Yuva Morcha Thane Rural Quarter-Prhafulla Tangadi (42) and his cousin Tejas (22) were murdered in his office in Kharbav-Chinchoti on Monday evening.
According to the police, about four to five unidentified attackers armed with sharp weapons on Monday evening plunged into Tangadi’s office.
At that time, Tangadi and his cousin sat with several other people. The attackers launched a frantic attack, said inspector Harshvardhan Barve of Bhiwandi Taluk’s police station and killed both.
After the murder, the attackers fled from the scene. Later the police arrived at the place and sent bodies for post mortem.
