
The case of murder, ShivaPrakash, in Bharatinagar, East Bengaluru last week was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last week.
ShivaPrakash, 44, was brutally hacked to death by armed attackers near his house in Bharathinagar 15 July. A few days later, five people gave up the police. Subsequent investigation led to another six arrests, which moved the number of suspects to 11.
According to the police, there were several other escapes, including the main suspect, Jagadish.
The Hindi source CID confirmed that the case was converted to the murder and burglary of the CID wing, but the case files must be handed over to the local police.
According to police sources, the case has been transferred for several reasons, including suspicious involvement of influential people.
ShivaPrakash’s mother, who filed a complaint, claimed that Byrathi Basavaraj, BJP MLA, had a role in the murder of his son. The police interrogated the MLA twice, claiming to be innocent in this matter.
With regard to the severity of the case, he was appointed police commissioner KG Halli, Prakash Rathod. Now the CID probe has taken.
