Windergy India 2026 from October 7 to 9

“India has made significant progress in wind power capacity, almost doubling in just five years to around 54 GW of installed capacity. To sustain this momentum towards 100 GW by 2030, we need to focus equally on manufacturing depth and supply chain resilience,” says Saravanan Manickam, Vice Chairman and Secretary, Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association.

“Tamil Nadu’s role in this journey has been significant and India has made commendable progress in indigenization, with domestic value added now estimated at 70-80%, but enhancing the capability of high-value components such as gearboxes, specialized bearings and permanent magnet materials will be critical to close the remaining gap and build a truly self-contained wind generation ecosystem,” he added.

Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) and PDA Ventures Pvt Ltd with the support of Ministry of Power and MNRE will organize Windergy India 2026. The conference will be held from 7-9 October 2026 at Chennai Trade Centre. The event will bring together over 20,000 people, 400 delegates and 350 exhibitors from over 30 countries. “Windergy India, an international trade fair and conference, has grown into a platform that connects the entire wind ecosystem together. As India works towards its capacity goals, we will continue to contribute to providing the industry with the platform it needs to connect and grow,” said Pradeep Devaiah, Chairman and CEO, PDA Ventures Pvt Ltd.
