Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru, is notorious for its congested roads, with commuters often taking out their frustrations on social media after being stuck in traffic for hours. The Silicon Valley resident raised a long-standing traffic problem, but this time was different. The woman pointed out the long line of cars in the housing association and drew attention to the traffic jams inside the housing complex.
According to Hindustan Times, the video was shot in Bengaluru’s Varthur area.
The video, which has now gone viral on social media, shows a long line of vehicles outside her house, while another line of vehicles is seen queuing up inside a housing society. The footage is said to have been taken around 2pm on Saturday.

Traffic jam inside the housing association
The woman first filmed traffic on the road from her room before turning the camera towards the apartment complex. The footage appeared to show vehicles moving slowly towards the company’s exit.
According to an Instagram user, residents were encountering traffic even before reaching the main road. The woman in the video claimed it took some commuters nearly 30 minutes to leave the complex due to the queue at the exit.
The video drew a number of reactions from social media users, with several of them hitting out at the traffic situation in the city.
Some users joked that getting stuck in traffic is now difficult to avoid, even within housing associations.

One user wrote: “Advantages of living in a project with a mall inside. They should have given a separate entrance/exit. Yet the value of the project has skyrocketed. Happy investors/owners and struggling residents.”
Another commented: “That place is made for people to never get out.”
A third said, “Yeah, in two years this whole area will be uninhabitable because of these bigger apartments.”
Several users identified the location in the video as Brigade Utopia in Varthur.
“It’s definitely Brigade Utopia, it was supposed to happen….narrow road, huge traffic…the traffic continues from Varthur,” added a fourth user.
Traffic congestion in Bengaluru is a recurring topic of discussion on social media, with journeys to the airport often becoming examples of the city’s wider commuting problems.

Bengaluru businessman Ritish Reddy also posted a report on the traffic situation on 17 September. Co-founder and CEO Zluri shared a video showing the traffic jam stretching for several kilometers in the Varthur-Gunjur area.
“2+ hours. Every day. That’s the time Whitefield kids spend on Varthur Road 5km commute,” Reddy wrote on X.
“My own daughter is stuck right now as I post this. Whitefield deserves better than this,” he said.
According to a report in The Hindu, Bengal Traffic Police sources attributed the congestion to ongoing infrastructure work in the area.
