The Pentagon is reportedly developing plans for the deployment of US military forces in Chicago after the announcement of President Donald Trump about the intervention against crime, homelessness and undocumented immigration, according to Saturday’s Washington Post report.
The Ministry of Defense is considering this step for several weeks, with possibilities that include the activation of several thousand National Guard soldiers in September, the report said, quoting sources familiar with discussions.
Here’s the reason Trump Eyes Chicago
“Chicago is a mess,” said Trump, Republican, journalists on Friday to journalists as he continued his attacks on cities led by democratic policies. “We’ll straighten that, probably the next.”

The Pentagon stated in his statement late on Saturday: “We will not speculate on other operations. The department is a planning organization and is constantly working with other agencies on plans to protect federal assets and staff.”
Governor Illinois JB Pritzker, Democrat, said the federal government had not contacted the state about any possible need for help. He noted that no emergency situation in Illinois would justify the location of the National Guard or other military forces.
“Donald Trump is trying to produce a crisis, politicize Americans who serve in uniform and continue to abuse their power to avert the pain caused by the working family,” Pritzker said.

On Friday, Johnson said that the city was serious about the impact of any unlawful deployment of the National Guard soldiers, Reuters reported.
“The problem with the President’s approach is that he is uncoordinated, unmistakable and unhealthy,” said the mayor, adding that in the last year of murder in Chicago, they have fallen by more than 30%, 35%robbery and almost 40%.
What happened in La and Washington?
At Trump’s request last weekend Republican Governors of the three states said they were sending hundreds of National Guard soldiers hundreds of kilometers to Washington, DC
The President portrayed the capital of the nation as a urban flare in crime, although justice data show that the violent crime last year reached a 30 -year minimum in Washington, a self -governing federal district under the jurisdiction of Congress.

While the Federal Government has considerable authority in Washington, DC, the 1973 domestic rule provides the city to choose its own mayors and the Council, although Congress retains the ability to review local legislation. It remains uncertain how Trump could circumvent this law without congress consent.
In June, Trump ordered 700 Marines and 4,000 National Guard soldiers against the wishes of the California Democratic Governor during protests against mass air raids by federal officials.
