White paper: Annamalai proposes functional consultative group

We The Leader founder K. Annamalai on Friday expressed concern over Tamil Nadu’s finances elaborated in the White Paper issued by the TVK-led government and proposed a functional consultative group of academicians, economists and experts to find constructive ways to alleviate the existing crisis.

“Therefore, the TVK government has very little time and must not take this white paper as an excuse for non-compliance; instead, it should explore ways to repair the damage done,” Annamalai said in a post on social media.

“In many ways, this serves as a post-mortem of the state’s fiscal mismanagement over the past five years, revealing the extent of the deterioration and benchmarking Tamil Nadu’s key financial indicators against those of other similarly industrialized states,” he said.
