In the middle of the arrival of the Interior Minister AMIT Shah in the Kashmir Valley, the three leaders of the separatist leaders – Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Hake Abdul Rashid and Bashir Ahmad Andrabi – on Monday they publicly surrendered to separatism and distanced themselves from the Huriyat.
All three leaders were associated entities of Hurriyat fraction headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Naqash led the Islamic political party J&K; Mr. Rashid was the chairman of the Muslim Democratic League J&K; And Mr. Andrabi was led by Kashmir Freedom Front.
In separate but similarly formulated statements, these leaders announced the loyalty of the Indian Constitution and condemned the connection with the separatist agendas.
“… my organization and I have no connection or association with APHC (G), APHC (A), their members or any other entity that follows the separatist agenda. We are distinct from APHC ideology because it could not deal with the ambition and shading of people in Jamm and Kashmir,” they said.
APHC is an abbreviation for all parties of Hurriyat Conference (APHC), which was established in 1993 as a result of raging militance in Kashmir and sought a solution to a cashmere problem according to the UN resolution (UN). As a conglomerate, APHC began more than 20 political, religious, traders and civil society.
“No associations to groups acting against Indian interests”
“Any use of my name or the appointment of my organization in connection with APHC or its factions will be met with the legal consequences on our part. I am a faithful citizen of India and my organization and I owe the loyalty to the Indian Constitution,” she said. “We do not prepare any group or association that acts directly or indirectly against Indian interests,” they added.
Over the past month in Kashmir, there have been a number of such public renunciations of separatism by separatist leaders. This is the first time since militancy broke out in 1990, which separatists issued such statements.
In the past, the Minister of the Union Amit Shah welcomed such renunciation of the separatists. “Separatism has become a history in J&K,” Mr. Shah said in a post for X when the separatists began to end Hurriyat last month.
