Virat Kohli pulls Cristiano Ronaldo ‘SIUUU’ after GT collapse (Image: X/Screengrab) Known for his passionate on-field celebrations and animated gestures, Virat Kohli was once again in the limelight during RCB’s Qualifier 1 clash against Gujarat Titans after he pulled off Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘SIUUU’ celebration.An avowed admirer of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, Kohli has often repeated the Portuguese star’s celebration on the cricket field over the years. During Gujarat Titans’ chase of a massive target of 254 runs set by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, GT lost five wickets in a power over and Kohli was seen wildly celebrating Ronaldo’s famous move as RCB tightened the match.This was not the first time that Kohli paid tribute to Ronaldo on the field. During the 2023 ODI World Cup, Kohli teamed up with Mohammed Siraj, another big fan of Ronaldo, to recreate the ‘SIUUU’ celebration after Siraj dismissed Wesley Barresi in India’s match against the Netherlands. Earlier last year in Champions Trophy 2025, Kohli channeled his inner Ronaldo again by performing the ‘SIUUU’ and ‘Calma’ celebrations during India’s encounter against New Zealand. Coming into the match, RCB completely outclassed Gujarat Titans by 92 runs and stormed into their second consecutive IPL final. The defending champions will now play the title clash on May 31 against the winner of Qualifier 2. Kohli also played an important role with the bat to give RCB an early boost after the dismissal of Venkatesh Iyer. The former RCB skipper scored a brisk 43 off 25 deliveries to set the tone for Bengaluru’s huge total. RCB captain Rajat Patidar was the hero of the match as he unleashed the bloodbath in Dharamsala, scoring an unbeaten 93 off 33 balls to take the team’s total to 254. Gujarat Titan’s chase was thwarted by Bhuvneshwar Kumar when he bowled Shubman Gill in his second over, but Sai Sudharsan had a bizarre run out. Gujarat Titans are stuck in the chase and will get another chance in Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator.
