Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore has donated an amount of ₹ 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief and Rehabilitation Fund for people affected by Cyclone Arnab and Murasu.

According to a press release, G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT, handed over the gift proposal to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati in the presence of Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, Vice Presidents of VIT. “Standing with people and providing relief during natural calamities is VIT’s moral duty,” Viswanathan said.
