The CCTV cool video showing a massive fire caused by LPG gas leakage on social media has become viral and has caused extensive concerns about domestic safety practices. The shots that have accumulated more than 13.1 million views on X show the moment when a man and a woman closely escaped a potentially fatal explosion inside the house.
While the accurate placement of the incident remains unverified, time stamps on the clip indicate that this happened around 15:00 on Wednesday 18 June.
The video opens with a red LPG roller located on the kitchen floor, its tube visibly escapes gas. A woman who appeared visibly desperate is trying to stop the escape, but fails and runs to seek help.
Soon he returns with a man and both enter the room from different doors to try to close the valve.
Until then, however, it seems that the room has already been filled with gas. When they try to repair the leak, the stove suddenly ignites and triggers a strong explosion that absorbs the kitchen in flames. Both individuals can escape the fire over time, partly thanks to open doors and windows – an element that many viewers believe to have helped to distract gas and reduce the severity of the explosion.
The video was shared by the “Ghar to Kalesh” account, with the title of opening the open ventilation for preventing a greater tragedy.
The clip prompted a wave of online responses, with users shared by fire safety tips and urged home to be alert gas leakage.
The user wrote, “They were lucky they survived. But I don’t know if they were injured or not?”
Another user wrote: “It is crazy as the ignition started from the second room.”
“Quick fire, not explosion. If the gas was well mixed with the air, there would be nothing left of the building,” another user wrote.
Several LPG distributors and authorities also called on to raise awareness of safe treatment and response to emergencies.
“That’s what panic is doing with the problem. The woman took the right step by removing the cylinder, but panicked and stopped in the middle. Sometimes we take the right step, but we don’t do it to the end,” the user said.
“It should use the button on the controller to turn it off, so it is necessary to give basic education,” wrote the fifth user.
