What Ryan Cook said after LSG tasted yet another defeat“14 years old! My son is 14… I saw that kid hit, (I thought) ‘That’s impossible, I’m dreaming. There’s no way that kid is 14. Really?’ I’m Googling it, calling people (asking), ‘Is this real or is someone making this up?’ And I get these messages and I tell them I’m watching. Not once, not twice, this guy has outdone everyone,” Modi said.Vaughan pointed out that managing fame and money at such a young age can be challenging. Modi agreed, admitting that the IPL sometimes led players to be overly materialistic. Still, he highlighted its positive impact, saying it has created opportunities and inspiration for many young people.“The good thing is we probably have another 50 in our country,” he said. “And that’s what the IPL has done: it’s opened up a whole arena for people to aspire to,” he added.
