Jana Sena Party (JSP) President and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Thursday (April 16, 2026) welcomed the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam Amendment Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, calling it a historic step by the BJP-led NDA government towards securing their rightful place in the legislatures through 33% governments.
In a post on X, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said that the path of women’s empowerment is deeply rooted in India’s constitutional foundations, shaped by women founders of the Indian Constitution, such as Dakshayani Velayudhan, Hansa Mehta, Durgabai Deshmukh, Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit and Rajkumari Amritignur, whose contribution to the Constitution brought equality and justice to generations of Indian women.
