Rajasthan Royals (RR) teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made his first career debut in the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) against Lucknow Super Giants. Known for his explosive starts, the 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals opener was completely bundled out by LSG pacer Mohsin Khan before being dismissed on the final ball. This rare power-play moment left cricket fans buzzing and social media immediately lit up for the young star’s uncharacteristic match.
The young star is coming under unfamiliar pressure on the powerplay
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi got off to a flying start, racing in 8 runs off 11 balls with two sharp boundaries. But when Mohsin Khan took the ball in the fourth over, everything changed. The left arm stimulator kept to a disciplined line and length, giving the teenager no room to free his arms. It was Vaibhav’s first maiden in the entire tournament, a clear sign that the LSG bowling attack had done their homework in the opening tournament in form.
Mohsin Khan started with a good length delivery outside off stump. Sooryavanshi swiped it at short third man but couldn’t find a run. The next ball was long on middle stump and Vaibhav defended it straight back to the bowler. He then swung on the back foot to tuck the third delivery towards the side, but the fielders stayed on their toes and kept it at the next point. The fourth ball was pitched a bit more on middle which Vaibhav drove neatly but only to mid on.
On the fifth delivery, the pressure showed when Mohsin beat him on the outside edge with a sharp which Sooryavanshi cut hard. The five balls created serious tension, leaving the young batsman visibly eager to break free.
A dramatic wicket on the final ball completes the game by Mohsin Khan
On the sixth and last ball of the over, Mohsin Khan bowled a length delivery to the off stump. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi went for a big shot over leg but lost his shape completely and toe it high towards cover. Digvesh Singh Rathi took a great catch and ran back as the ball swirled in the air. He settled under her calmly and it looked so easy.
Social media is exploding with reactions to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s first girl
Cricket lovers wasted no time in sharing their thoughts online. Calling it a masterclass in building pressure, many shared clips from the end with captions like ‘Even Vaibhav couldn’t escape this virgin!’
