Weeks after Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh informed the Legislative Assembly that the state government would drop its proposal to build a stadium on part of the land belonging to the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) at T. Narsipur, near the site, the state government formally issued orders to cancel the transfer of five acres of land by the corporation (YouthES Empower and Sports Empowerment Department of Sports).
A government order dated April 21, signed by the state government’s Department of Tourism and Sericulture Principal Secretary Pramil N., states that five acres of land in various survey numbers of Byrapura village in T. Narsipur taluk transferred free of charge to DYES for construction of a taluk-level stadium on July 14, 2025, has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
