
UTTARAKHAND STAMPEDE LIVE: Six people lost their lives and more than two dozen were injured in Haridwar’s Mansa Devi Temple on Sunday, according to a police officer.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in post X, said, “Deeply saddled with loss of lives as a result of death on the way to the Mansa Devi temple in Haridware, Uttarakhand. Condemnation to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured soon recover.
What led to Stampede?
Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Prandra Singh Dobal told PTI to the videos that 35 people were transported to a hospital where six were confirmed dead.
He explained that the panic broke out among the devotees after the rumors of the electric current near the starting point of the temple stairs and the blow.
Injuries are rushing to the hospital after hitting the Mansa Devi temple.

Uttarakhand cm Pushkar Singh Dhami said in the post on X: “It is extremely disturbing to receive news about the track on the Mansa Devi Temple in Haridware. The security and well -being of all devoted.”
Meanwhile, Dhami visits the Haridwar district hospital around 2pm today to meet people injured in Stampede and inspection of a place that will be provided by damaged treatment.
DM Mayur Dixit said, “We found out through photos and videos that someone is spreading rumors about breaking the electric wire while looking at the injured or dead, we didn’t get such an indication … we explore who spreads the rumors that caused injuries, and the Master’s questions.
One of the wounded said, “Just 20-25 steps in front of the temple space became uncontrollable … I fell together with 10 to 12 others … I found 3 members of my family, but 2 still miss …”
