US military attacks Iran’s missile and drone facilities, Trump warns they ‘…will no longer exist’ | Today’s news
The US military said on Saturday (local time) that it had struck a number of targets in Iran on the orders of President Donald Trump, in a move that has now shaken the uneasy truce between the two nations.
In a post on social media, the US Central Command said its aircraft targeted Iran’s military surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities and minesweeper capabilities” following the attack on the merchant ship on Saturday.
US President Trump also issued a strong warning to Iran, saying US forces have hit Iran’s infrastructure after it violated ceasefire agreements, and if it continues, their entire country may cease to exist.
“A United States aircraft just hit Iran’s missile and drone depots and coastal radar sites in violation of the cease-fire agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that the lesson will never be learned! There may come a point where we will no longer be able to be reasonable and be forced to militarily finish the job we have very successfully started. If that happens,” Trump on Truth Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!
