US-Iran war: Trump warns of new attacks on Tehran, says attack could come ‘tomorrow’ | Today’s news

After weeks of relative calm in the United States’ war with Iran, President Donald Trump raised the prospect of an attack again, saying it “could be tomorrow.” His remarks come as he focuses on midterm elections scheduled for Nov. 3.

Speaking to reporters in Washington on Saturday (local time), he said: “Do you really think I’m going to tell you if I’m going to do it?” adding, “And there’s a chance I’ll do it. There’s also a chance we’ll have a nice, big, beautiful deal.”

The possibility of a renewed strike comes after Trump previously said he would decide on further action against Iran after the US election.

He continued, “I could have done the B2 bomber thing a year ago and walked away,” adding that the problem was that within a year, a year and a half or two years, Iran would somehow figure out a way to make a nuclear bomb. He continued, “I have to make it permanent, and that’s the only reason I’m doing it as long as I’m doing it.”
