US-Iran Conflict News: In its first phase of “Operation Epic Fury” strikes against Iran, the United States deployed some of its most advanced military assets, including B-2 stealth bombers, F-35 fighter jets, and other cutting-edge weapons, many of which have also been used in past U.S. military operations, including missions in Iran, Syria, Yemen, and other countries.
The United States deployed B-2 stealth bombers during the war in Kosovo (1999), Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, while F-35 fighters were later used for air support and strike missions against Taliban targets in Afghanistan, the BBC previously reported.
“Attack targets to break…”
US Central Command (Centcom) said in a social media post that it had launched Operation Epic Fury at the behest of US President Donald Trump and was “attacking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat”.

AI uses, the report says
The Pentagon also used Anthropic’s AI tools during the airstrike launched against Iran. It reportedly comes just hours after the US said it would stop using the AI startup’s technology.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, it used headquarters around the world, including the U.S. Central Command in the Middle East, during Anthropic’s AI Claude attack on Iran.
The command reportedly used the Anthropic AI for intelligence evaluation, target identification and simulation of battle scenarios.
Op Epic Fury Start Date Target
Operation Epic Fury was launched at 1:15 a.m. (local time) on Saturday, February 28, in the CENTCOM area of responsibility, US Central Command said in a statement. The targeted attack against Iran comes days after Trump warned the Islamic Republic.
Former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in the airstrikes.
Hours after the US and Israel jointly attacked Iran, the Islamic Republic launched retaliatory strikes – with reports of explosions emanating from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar and other Gulf cities that are also home to US military bases.
