Mr. Kiran Kumar Visssa stated a legal violation of the government, which included the absence of environmental impact assessment, lack of protection of the types of plan I, as ordered by the Act on the Protection of Wild Animals of 1972, and violations of the Walt Act.
Environmental expert ARUN Vasiredy said that Kancha Gachibowli Forest is one of the highest places in the husband basin, has a great impact on the availability of water and feeding nearby lakes. The destruction of this forest will have a serious adverse effect not only on flora and fauna, but also on the health of lakes and water system, air quality and temperature in the area.
The speakers stressed that the Kancha Gachibowli forest campaign is much behind the UOH students and the Faculty. The online petition launched by Save City Forest Group has already received 1,42,000 signatures, with 71,340 people added their signatures on Wednesday.
They repeated their requirements for the immediate download of the Bulldozer event in Kancha Gachibowli, cases that were withdrawn against the agitation of students and the withdrawal of the police from the campus, complete protection of hotspot of the biodiversity of Kancha Gachibowli and handing over the legal right to the university in addition to downloading the proposed auction.
