Twisha Sharma death case: CBI team recreates crime scene using dummies at accused Giribal Singh’s residence in Bhopal | Today’s news

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Monday visited the residence of former District Magistrate Giribal Singh, an accused in the Twisha Sharma dowry harassment case, and actively reconstructed the crime scene.

According to ANI, the team used a fake body to collect crucial evidence in the presence of accused Giribala Singh and Samarth Singh.

Twisha Sharma was found dead in her matrimonial home on May 12. She married Bhopal resident Samarth Singh in December 2025.

After her death on May 12, her family alleged that she was harassed for dowry by her husband and in-laws.

The case involves serious charges under the newly implemented Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act of 2023 and the Dowry Prohibition Act of 1961.

A silent protest was held on Sunday demanding justice in the death of Twisha Sharma in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to ANI, Twish’s brother Major Harshit Sharma said that he has full faith that the truth will come out.

“This case is no longer about Twish. We have gathered here today to express the unity we feel. So many people have come to support us. The society has organized a rally and we are here to participate in it… We have full faith that the truth will come out,” he told ANI.

Earlier, on May 29, the ashes of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma, the victim of a high-profile case of alleged dowry death in Bhopal, were immersed in the river Ganga in Rishikesh.

Her father, Navnidhi Sharma, said that his daughter had a deep connection with Rishikesh and the river Ganga.

A Bhopal district court sent former judge and mother-in-law Giribal Singh and husband Samarth Singh to five-day CBI custody till June 2.

Special Judge Shobhana Bhalave allowed the CBI to remand both the accused for five days for further questioning.
