Transponders have been installed on 672 fishing boats operating from Uppada coast in Kakinada district to track their position at sea for possible rescue operation if needed during fishing, said Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.
In an official statement about the initiatives in his Pithapuram constituency, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said on Friday; “Konapapapeta village in U. Kothapalli Mandal has been developed under the Climate Resilient Coastal Fishermen Villages (CRCFV) initiative to address climate change and its impact on fishermen’s livelihoods, coastal protection”. Alternative livelihood options will also be explored in the CRCFC village.
