AMONIAK Gas leakage in the Goregaon race
24 July there was an ammonia gas leak in the Mahananda Dairy in Goregaon (East) around 21:12. However, no injuries were reported.
Civic officials noted that Ammonia began leaking from a tank to a capacity of 3,000 kilograms located in a cooling unit on the ground floor, which covers about 2,000 square feet.
In response to ammonia leakage, teams from fire brigades in Mumbai, police, Hazmat units, 108 ambulances and local employees of the department were quickly deployed on the spot.
The non -functional valve in the tank caused the gas leakage of ammonia.
