
Western Bengal: On Friday, the leader of the TMC led Mamata Baerjee was shot in the Cooch Behar district in West Bengal. BJP had the Coch Behar (Uttar) son Sukumar Roy and his driver was arrested in connection with the incident, the policeman said.
The ruling Congress Trinamool claimed that BJP was behind the attack.
The company was also filed against four people, the police said, PTI reported.
TMC leader was injured
The leader of TMC – Raju dey – from the Coch Behar Block 2 Panchayat Samity suffered an injury in an attack near the Jhinaidang area around 11:00 on Thursday, police officials said.
“The bullet hit Dey’s right shoulder. He was taken to the nearby hospital by workers and his condition is declared stable,” the officer said.
Miscreants arrived in a black car and fled from the scene and left the vehicle that had been confiscated since then, added officials.
The black car is registered under the name BJP MLA Sukumar Roy. Witnesses reportedly saw the son of the MLA inside the car during the incident.
The authorities stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
‘… Cold blood missiles’ – TMC accuses bjp
After the attack, TMC took on to X’s social media and claimed that BJP was behind the attack.
“Lok Sabha 2024 explained the results from Bengal that @bjp4india quickly lost the land in Coch Behar. Now that the district slipped out of their grasping iron, they returned to what they were doing best: relaxing brutal, mindless violence,” TMC said in position X.
“Our worker Panchayat Samiti of Jhinaidang has been shot into cold blood. CCTV shots confirm the involvement of the son @Bjp4bengal MLA Sukumar Roy, lined with their usual gang armed by GOON,” he said.
TMC also called BJP as “Bangla Jalao Party”, which freely translates into “Burn Bengal Party”.
Saffron party dropped the accusations and claimed that the attack was a “pre -planned plot” of TMC.
“It is definitely a planned plot of TMC. They did it together with the police,” said BJP MLA Sukumar Roy, PTI said.
