Three people were killed on Friday evening and one was injured in a traffic accident on the National Highway Tiruchi-Madurai near Viralimalai in the Pudukottai district.
According to police sources, V. Sundaraj, 31 years, a native of Madurai together with his friend R. Akashraj, 24, from Tiruch, went to Tiruchi from Madurai to the top motorcycle motorcycle. A. Sivasubramanyan, 42 years, and his mother Marutham, 63, from Viralimai, rode on the other side of the road on a two -round wheel. Two vehicles collided while Sivasubramaniyan walked through the highway near Kodumbargur via the median instead of turning.
Sundarraj died on the spot while the other three were seriously injured and were hurried to the government hospital in Manapparai. Sivasubramanyan and his mother died of injuries while Akashraj undergoes treatment.
Viralimalai police registered the case and investigated.
