The Indian Navy on Thursday (April 30, 2026) took delivery of Mahendragiri (Yard 12654), the sixth ship of the Nilgiri class (Project 17A) and the fourth built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai.
According to the Indian Navy, the delivery marks a significant milestone in India’s drive for self-sufficiency in warship design and construction.
