The rules for air tickets will be published in two weeks, the Supreme Court Center said Today’s news

The Center told the Supreme Court on Friday that the fare rules have been finalized and administrative approval has been given, adding that they will be published within two weeks.

The Supreme Court adjourned the matter to November 16. The plea seeks guidelines to curb unexpected fluctuations and surges in ticket prices, as well as the establishment of an independent aviation regulator with powers to protect consumers.

During the hearing, a panel of the Supreme Court orally remarked, “We are also victims of the increase in air fares.”

The development comes after the Supreme Court gave the Center three weeks to finalize the draft rules on air fares. The center’s latest post states that the rules have been finalized and are awaiting publication.

The cause of action seeks measures to address sudden and unpredictable increases in ticket prices and calls for a regulatory framework to protect air travelers from excessive pricing.
