The remains of a woman who ended her life in Bahrain have been brought back

Konaseema Center for Migration (KCM) authorities on Friday handed over the mortal remains of 26-year-old P. Anjamma, who reportedly ended her life in Bahrain on May 27.

Ms. Anajamma, a native of Isakagaruvu village in Achanta mandal of West Godavari district, traveled to Bahrain in January 2025 to work as a domestic helper. She is said to have ended her life in the house where she was employed. The KCM swung into action after the victim’s husband, Mr. P. Subba Rao, approached them.

In an official statement, KCM Nodal Officer and District Revenue Officer V. Subba Rao said; “Mrs. Anjamma’s mortal remains were brought to her native village on Friday with the support of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRT).” The victim’s family members performed her last rites.
