The Israeli army said on Sunday hit the warehouses of weapons belonging to the armed group Hezbollah in South Lebanon. “A moment ago, IDF (Israeli army) hit Hezbollah’s weapons in southern Lebanon. The terrorist organization used these weapons to proceed and carry out terrorist attacks against the state of Israel,” the army said in a statement.
The Lebanese National Press Agency announced the “series” of Israeli air strikes near the towns of Kfar Rumman and Fair and the drone strike at home in humin, all in the south of the country.

Despite the November ceasefire, which ended over a year hostility between Hezbollah and Israel, the latter held regular strikes on Lebanon and still has units located on five border points inside Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah is under intense pressure to hand over his weapons, while the Lebanese army developed a plan for disarmament, starting with the South.
Lebanon himself faces pressure to act from the United States and also from the ongoing Israeli strikes.
On Saturday, however, the head of Hezbollah Naim Qasso said that the group would not allow himself to disarm when he addressed supporters and described one year after the killing of Israel as the forerunner of Hassan Pisrallah.
Hezbollah was the only main armed group to maintain its weapons after the Lebanese Civil War because it fought with the ongoing Israeli occupation of the South.
The heart of the group is mainly in the Shiite south and eastern Lebanon and also in the southern Beirut.
In October 2023, missiles in Israel began to support Hamas in Gaza. The months of exchange escaped to the total war in September 2024 before a ceasefire was agreed by two months.
