Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Care Satya Kumar Yadav said that around 1.41 Lakhs with cardiac conditions received free medical treatment worth around 996 crore via NTR Vaidya Seva.
On the eve of World Heart Day 29. September, the Minister in a press release published on Sunday (September 28, 2025) stated that the NDA government led by TDP focuses on improving infrastructure in hospitals and raising public awareness of the importance of early diagnosis for heart shocks.
Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said that the government focused on ensuring that the treatment of heart -related problems within NTR Vaidya Seva is available in several hospitals. Currently, treatment is available in 161 hospitals in the private sector and 26 in the government sector. Treatment of Golden Hour is available in 238 hospitals in the state.
He said that the treatment of patients with a heart attack was also available in all community health centers. Blood thinning, which is costly, is provided free of charge through NTR Vaidya Seva in community health centers, he added that this decision helped save more than 3,000 people.
The Minister said that at least 3,402 heart attack victims were rescued due to early intervention of doctors and the availability of treatment at the mandal level. He added that most of the total expenditure on free medical treatment within the NTP Vaidya Seva has been spent on heart disease. Since June 2024, the government has provided a 5,562 GBP Crore treatment through NTR Vaidya Seva to 19,61,257 people.
Of these, 1,41,315 people were treated for heart -related problems. Of these, 45,986 (32.54%) people received stents, 9 880 (6.99%) bypass operations, 3,074 (2.18%) valve replacement. They were provided with treatment worth around 966 ₹ Crore, 17% of the total expenditure, the Minister said in a statement.
The second heart disease is cancer. In 15 months, 69,926 people received medical treatment through NTR Vaidya Seva. The number of people who received orthopedic treatment is 2.04,108.
