Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha inaugurated the renovated District Police Training Center at Kotha Mamidipalem near Ongola on Monday. The building was modernized with modern equipment for the training of police officers.
Addressing the trainees, the Home Secretary said constables are the backbone of the police department and stressed the need for disciplined and value-based training. It also started the nine-month basic entry training for 193 SCTPC (Civil) – 2025 batch candidates from East Godavari district.
Emphasizing discipline, service orientation and responsibility, she said professional skills, knowledge of laws, modern technology and physical fitness are essential for effective police work. Later, she inspected the barracks, classrooms, parade grounds and other infrastructure at the center.
