The government strengthens information technology cells (IT) and cybersurveillance to face the terrorist propaganda that is spreading on social media, the Minister of the Interior of the Union Govind said on Wednesday. He said that terrorists use social media and advanced drone technology “not only for supervision and espionage, but also for performing certain and focused attacks”.
He said, “Some countries and some communities combine actions in the name of terrorism either with or with faith,” while interfering with the very idea of humanity and “the problem must be eliminated from their roots”.
The official stated that the government completed a 25-point integrated plan to reduce financial resources of terrorism, which included “jihad terrorism, rebellion in the northeast, false currency and narcotics” and the police and other investigative agencies were encouraged to “not hesitate to use strict provisions under the Non-Lailed Act.”
He said India was founded 40 groups as terrorist organizations.
While delivered the valedictory address at the international seminar of the 23.
