Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has moved from his official residence to a private farm in the Chhatarpur area in South Delhi, six weeks after resigning from his post, according to officials quoted by the press agency PTI.
The GadaiPur farm in Chhatarpur belongs to the leader of Inld Abhay Chautal.
The clerk said that Dhankhar would remain in a private farm as a temporary arrangement until he was assigned an official VIII residence to which he is entitled as a former vice president.
Dhankhar resigned from his position on July 21, the first day of the monsoon meeting, referring to health reasons. Since then he has remained outside the public eyes and remains in the enclave of Vice President in the capital of the National City.
Dhankhar (74) moved to the newly built vice -presidential enclave on Church Road near the parliament complex last April.
The Vice President’s enclave, which includes an official stay and office, was built as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment project. He stayed in Enclave VP for almost 15 months before resigning from the contribution and quoting health reasons.
The PTI press agency reported that the sources close to Dhankha have said they were spending time with their family, playing table tennis and yoga exercise.
Another VP 9. September
The elections to choose his successor should be held on 9 September.
In the vice -presidential elections, NDA Pick CP Radhakrishnan, Governor of Maharaštra, will face the opposition nominee B Sudershan Reddy, a former judge of the Supreme Court.
Dhankhar’s term of office as Vice President was supposed to end on August 10, 2027.
Meanwhile, Dhankhar asked for his retirement as a former MLA in Rajasthan, officials said last week
The officials said the possession of Dhankha as the vice president ended 21 July after his resignation. Dhankhar again asked for a pension as a former MLA in Rajasthan and was looking for a renewal of his retirement in accordance with his position.
Dhankhar, who was a congress MLA between 1993 and 1998 and represented the election district of Kishangarh Assembly, used to get a retirement for his position until July 2019. Then he was appointed Governor of West Bengal, after which the pension was stopped.
Why the farm Chautala?
Dhankhar’s relationship with Chautalas has been returning for almost 40 years. In 1989, Abhay’s grandfather Devi Lal – the then main minister – saw the potential leader in Dhankhar, then a young lawyer from Rajasthan.
Dhankhar, also the Jat, has always referred to the leader of Jat Devi Lal as his “mentor”.
In the 1989 Lok Sabha elections, the opposition coalition like Janata Dal fought. Devi Lal offered Dhankhar Janata a ticket from Jhunjhuna Lok Sabha. He led the campaign for Dhankhar. And when Devi Lal became Deputy Prime Minister in the government of Janata Dal, who replaced Congress, Dhankhar became the state minister of trade unions (parliamentary matters).
