The Ministry of the Interior of the Union on Monday (September 22, 2025) specified ministries and departments responsible for monitoring, preventing and alleviating disasters resulting from hazards such as avalanches, cyclones or tsunami.
The notification stated that under the 2005 Act of Catastrophe management, the Ministry of Defense “is responsible for monitoring, timely warning, prevention, mitigation, readiness and construction of capacities” with regard to the disaster resulting from avalanches and oil leaks in cooperation with other related agencies or stakeholders.
The Ministry of Health and Family Care is responsible for biological disasters and the Ministry of Sciences of Earth Sciences has been assigned to issue early warning concerning cold waves, cyclone or tornadoes, earthquakes, thermal waves, lightning, tsunami, hail and severe precipitation.
The ministry down, nuclear and radiological emergencies of the Ministry of the Environment must monitor landslides by the Ministry of mines, nuclear and radiological extraordinary events down.
Disasters such as frost and cold wool, drought, hail and pest attacks were assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers, while floods and ice floods are monitored by the Ministry of Jalaki.
