
The Pazhayangadi police in Kannura registered a case against about 30 people, including the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Kannur North District President KK Vinod Kumar, in connection with Protest in Madayipar on Sunday evening (September 7, 2025).
The case was registered according to parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit to defend public transport on the road Madayipar and increased provocative slogans allegedly intended to create social unrest. The protest was organized under the leadership of the Madayi Mandala BJP committee.
Mr. Vinod Kumar, who started protest, claimed that fundamentalist forces had attempted attempts to create riots. (The Girl’s Islamic Organization organized a pro-Palestinian protest in Madayipara on Saturday.) He said that the offense of the sacred country of Madayipara Devaswom and raising Pro-Palestinian and anti-Indian slogans was condemnable, and warned that these incidents would be repeated.
The BJP leader demanded that a regional regional transport officer to investigate the use of a school-run-e-islam bus for an event organized by a girl’s Islamic organization (Gio) and called on the role of Arf Shihab, Gio of Malappuram.
The BJP protest was attended by a member of the State Committee C. Narayanan, regional secretary Kozhikode Balakrishnan Panakil, District Vice President AV Sanal and President of Mandala Sujith. The police said the case was registered against all present in the protest and further investigation was underway.
