The mortal remains of Mrs. Singson were departed from Ahmedabad to Dimapur Airport with Indigo flight. Members of her family, older community and relatives accepted the body at the airport and then transferred it along the road to the Kangpokpi district in Manipur, located about 160 km from Dimapur.
According to family members, the decision to take the body in Dimapur instead of Imphal Airport was accepted due to continuing ethnic violence and related security concerns in manipure. Mrs Singson belonged to the Thadou Tribal Community, which is associated with the Kuki-Zo group.
The last ceremonies were expected to be carried out at the end of Thursday (June 19, 2025) at night after the arrival of the body in Kangpokpi.
