
Amid rising air pollution levels in Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region), Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday announced changes in the office timings of Delhi government and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) offices.
The new times will be effective from November 15, 2025 to February 15, 2026.
What are the new times?
Government Offices in Delhi: From 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Municipal Corporation of Delhi Offices: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Old office days
Government Offices in Delhi: From 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Municipal Corporation of Delhi Offices: From 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Air quality in Delhi
The AQI level in the capital on Friday was recorded at 309, while temperatures also started dropping.
Out of 38 monitoring stations, 29 reported air quality in the ‘very poor’ category with readings above 300, according to data from CPCB’s Sameer app.
Bawana was the most polluted area with an AQI of 366, closely followed by Jahangirpuri with 348.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is likely to be around 26 degrees Celsius. A layer of shallow fog is expected, resulting in low visibility in several parts of the city.
According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality is likely to remain in the ‘very poor’ category for the next few days.
PWDs to hire 200 anti-smog weapons
The Public Works Department (PWD) plans to hire 200 smog guns, air pollution-fighting equipment that will spray atomized water to settle dust and other suspended particles in the atmosphere.
Deploying anti-smog weapons is likely to cost ₹58 million.
According to the latest order issued by the ministry, truck-mounted water spray anti-smog guns are in the process of being leased and the budget ₹58,834,480 was approved, reported PTI.
