The director of the school education department V. Vijay Rama Raja ordered regional joint directors (RJDS) and district educational officials (Deos) to allow any unauthorized individuals or groups to enter school without prior approval of the head of the institution.
He stated in the circle that with the exception of members for the management of parents and schools (SMC), no one else should be allowed into the campus, because this caused disturbance of academic activities.
He said that if someone wanted to contribute or give materials in kind, he should be directly handed over to the director without interacting with the children or entering the classrooms. Photographs with children are also strictly forbidden, said Mr. Rama Raja. Any complaints, complaints or requests should only be submitted to the administrative authority and employees and students should not be involved directly with individuals or organizations coming from the outside, he added.
The director also explained that the depiction of any political symbols or materials, including flags, cups, banners or posters related to parties or organizations, was strictly prohibited in school campuses.
Meanwhile, the directive on the official with student trade unions did not drop and demanded an immediate withdrawal of the decision.
The State President of the State President P. Rammohan Rao and the secretary K. Prasna Kumar claimed that the order suppresses the voices of students and blocking access to those who attend schools to understand and solve student problems. They said it was a deliberate step that prevented student organizations from revealing the problems facing students.
In the past, SFI has revealed several inconsistencies and commercial exploitation at private and corporate schools, but this order makes it difficult to maintain these institutions responsible and would help them continue their exploitation practices without control, they added.
State Vice President of the Student Federation of All-India M. Siikumar said that Mega’s Mega meeting (PTM) held by the government was fraudulent because the problems existing in educational institutions were not solved. He said that this step reflected only the fear between the authorities that the existing gaps in the school campuses would be revealed. He said that student trade unions will go anywhere they are students, communicate with them and talk about their problems.
The Union representatives threatened to start nationwide disturbances unless the orders were immediately withdrawn.
