Telangana is set for a major political makeover with the upcoming delimitation exercise expected to add nearly 60 new assembly constituencies, taking the total from 119 to 179.
The extension, along with the Constitutional (131st) Amendment and delimitation laws, will also pave the way for the introduction of 33% reservation for women in legislatures, with up to 60 seats likely to be reserved for women only.
