Anthropic’s Claude AI experienced a significant outage on Wednesday (April 15), with thousands of users reporting issues across the platform, Downdetector reports.
The outage began in the early hours of the morning (PT) and complaints continued to mount as users struggled to access the service.
Reports are increasing rapidly
By 8:02 a.m. PT, more than 7,000 users had reported problems. Within minutes, the number skyrocketed, surpassing 9,000 at 8:08 a.m. and 15,000 at 8:25 a.m.
By 8:39 a.m., reports had climbed past 20,000, indicating a widespread and escalating outage affecting users worldwide.
Problems with connectivity, login dominate
Most of the users have reported connectivity related issues and a few have also reported login failures and website accessibility issues.
