Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday participated in the grand celebrations of Mysuru Dasara along with other Karnataka ministers.

Accompanied by his wife Geetha, the chief minister witnessed the Jambo Savaari (procession), the highlight of the festivities, during which the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari, seated in a magnificent golden howdah atop a beautifully decorated elephant, is brought out.

The parade featured folk artistes, musical ensembles, dance troupes and a number of cultural performances showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of Karnataka.

Karnataka Nada Habba (State Festival) is a symbol of Indian culture, traditions, devotion, art and historical heritage.

The Chief Minister was invited by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. The event was also attended by distinguished guests from India and abroad, including Kerala Congress leader VD Satheesan.

Before attending the Dasara celebrations held at the Mysore Palace, the Chief Minister visited the Chamundeshwari temple and offered special prayers.
