Telangana CM launches Amberpet-Moosarambagh High Level Bridge

More than three years after the work began, the high-level bridge on one side of the Musi River at Moosarambagh was inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday, August 31, bringing much relief to commuters from and outside Amberpet traveling towards Moosarambagh, Dilsukhnagar and Malakpet.

The second bridge towards Amberpet is under construction. While the parallel bridges were planned as early as 2022 as part of the 14 historic bridges planned on the river, work has only started at Moosarambagh. With the change of regime and the revision of all the bridges, the work slowed down. The bridges came in the place of an earlier dam, which collapsed due to repeated flooding of the river. The new 400-metre long bridge will withstand 1.5 million cusp of flood water, a GHMC statement informed. It was built at a cost of ₹52 million.

The logos were launched by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also unveiled the new logos of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation and Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.
