A total of 4,87,98,833 voters out of 5,73,43,291 voters appeared in 75,064 polling stations and exercised their right to vote in Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections according to official data published on April 23 election commission of india (EC) on Saturday.
The total number of polled votes is likely to increase once the final figures are released, as the figures above do not include the postal tickets of officials and police personnel deployed on electoral duty, service voters and those who cast their votes via Form 12D, including those aged 85 and over and those with disabilities. However, the above figures included the votes of nearly 1.1 million officials who voted directly at polling stations using Election Duty Certificates (EDCs).
