As part of the Agricultural Experiential Learning Program (AELP), four final year students of the College of Agricultural Engineering in Kandi, who grew vegetables, sold the produce at the Sangaredy District Collectorate.
They were given a budget of ₹10,000 to grow and sell vegetables, including expenses for buying seeds, manure and other resources. This was done to give them practical experience in understanding the cycle of crop cultivation, financial management and marketing of agriculture.

Students, Md. Mudassir, Vinay Kumar, Victoriya Rani and Asmitha Rathod, started sowing seeds in the agricultural field a month ago, managed the growth and addressed the problems of managing the workers there, harvesting the produce and selling.
College Dean R. Swamy said the aim is to help students understand what it takes to sell an agricultural product in the market. Under AELP, students also have to prepare detailed project reports and conduct a SWOT analysis, he added.
