Tamil Nadu chief Minister MK Stalin wrote to his counterpart Delhi Rekha Gupta and asked her to expand the support of Tamil people in the “Madrasi camp” in Nový Delhi, whose unauthorized housing in Yangpura was destroyed by the Delhi Development Office. Economically weaker apartments (EWS) in Narel, which were assigned to the displaced, were 20 km from their jobs and were “inappropriate” because of the occupation for incomplete provision of basic services, claimed.
A delegation including SriperMBudur TR Baal, a special representative of Tamil Nadu in New Delhi AKS Vijayan and a resident Commissioner for Tamil Nadu House in Dilli Ashish Kumar, handed over a letter to Mrs. Gupta in the national capital on Friday.
The demolition of the Yangpura camp in Madrasi since June 1 has depicted 370 families of Tamil origin, which have contributed significantly to Delhi’s economy, the homeless and wicked for decades, Mr. Stalin pointed out in his letter. He also submitted four specific applications. He called on the main minister in Delhi to complete and hand in the EWS apartments, the rapid construction of community infrastructure and provided reserved transport services.
Mr. Stalin asked for an extension of EWS eligibility in the policy of rehabilitation of slum and JJ the remaining 181 moved families by granting relaxation of revenue, residence requirements and deposit obligations. He was looking for the establishment of an interim Tamil-storage education by sanctioning a temporary DTEA school (Delhi Tamil Education Association) in Pocket G-7 with immediate entry and reserved transport, or permitting Tamil’s instructions at a nearby MCD school with reserved chair and international transport.
Stalin asked for mobilization of support by vocational education and micro -trade grants, especially for displaced women.
According to the orders of the High Court in Delhi, 189 families who were eligible for EWS flats were certified by a joint survey, he said. The High Court also ordered government agencies (DDA and Dusib) to complete all basic services such as water, electricity, hygiene, internal road, drainage and street lighting in the G-7 and G-8 pockets, where alternative accommodation was provided. The HC also ordered the Delhi government to ensure immediate admission for displaced children in nearby government and MCD schools, established primary medical centers and fair prices and arranged the necessary transport links of DTC and metro in accordance with politics 2016.
“Unfortunately, although 189 families were formally assigned by the EWS flats in Narel, the units remain unsuitable for the occupation due to incomplete provision of basic services. Educational arrangements for more than 150 tamil-central children were not carried out in accordance with the court directive.
“In the absence of this equipment, households – especially women – especially unemployed and students face immediate disruption of their studies, combining the dislocation anxiety of this vulnerable community. The remaining 181 families were not provided with any alternative accommodation and remained homeless,” he added.
