Students St. Xavier’s College, Thumba and ITE College East, Singapore, on Sunday in the cleaning program on St. Andrews Beach on Sunday
St. Xavier’s College, Thumba, organized on Sunday in a joint initiative concerning ITE College East in Singapore, cleaning the beach of St. Andrews.
The activity was part of the International Cultural Exchange Program, which took place from 14 to 21 June, organized by Xavier Outreach Services and the Ministry of English and Media Studies on St. Xavier’s College, Thumba.
As part of this program, students from School of Health Sciences, ITE College East, Singapore arrived in Kerala, and participated in nature conservation, which included the collection, sorting and disposal of plastics and other waste materials collected on the beach.
The Singapore student team was led by Chris Gomez and Shenikal Shang. The initiative was also attended by members of the Faculty of St. Xavier’s College, including Shibu Joseph, Biju Joy and Dominic Joseph. About 50 students from both universities took part in the event.
