
Srisailam temple authorities decided to preserve historical and archaeological places and places in the city. A special focus will also be laid on the preservation of ancient inscriptions in Srisailam.
The executive officer of the temple (EO) M. Srinivasa Rao, who recently checked various ancient structures in the temple city, along with Professor R. Chandrasekhar Reddy in retirement, and provided officials to take steps to maintain ancient inscriptions and historical muts.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao claimed that ancient inscriptions and structures in the Srisailam temple stand as a testimony that the famous temple once flourished as a center for spiritual, cultural, education and medicine and should be protected and preserved.
He ordered the clerks of the engineering wings to prepare a plan to build a circular route connecting all the “Pancha” mutty (five), which were recently reconstructed in order to visit these places. He wanted officials to revive the old and ancient trekking path to Vibhuti Mutt and also protected statues carved from stones located in various places in the temple city.
EO said that historians and experts identified ancient pictographic scripts on leaf rocks near Rudraksha Mutt and Vibhuti Mutt. He asked officials to take advantage of the help of historians and experts to analyze and preserve them. “In the temple city should be built notice boards, which means that the importance of Mutta located near the temple,” he told engineering officials.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao asked the relevant officials to plant “Devat Vukshams” (Divine Trees) such as Bilva, AMLA and others in the gardens maintained by the temple and placed plates indicating the meaning of the tree, their biological name and commonly used names.
